Have you ever wanted to fly in space? Then, in X Trench Run, you can become its owner and learn how to operate it. You must fly as skillfully as possible around obstacles. You may maneuver your spaceship with the keyboard arrows and shoot with the spacebar. Your main goal is to capture bosses while avoiding enemy impacts. Points are awarded based on the number of levels completed: your score will be displayed at the end or when you accomplish the objective. You may face opponents along the route, and it is critical not to collide with them because they will do everything they can to obstruct you. Because the space motif is worked out to every detail, the appearance of the toy deserves its own chapter. Outlined iron boundary walls, brick barricades, and blinding laser beams surround you. Explosions and illumination on the walls are also depicted as authentically as possible. The ships themselves appear to be space fantasy inventions, with the crew surviving and fighting on huge machinery.

The game's primary color is blue. However, you will notice changes in every aspect of the game, beginning with the font and progressing to the intricacies of the aircraft. Your opponents can be any saturated color, and your chaining is done on purpose to keep track of who is where in the process. You will encounter translucent blue balls along the journey, and if you capture them, you will transform into a blue shell. The design varies with each round to match the levels.
